🥕 Creepy Carrots Author Crashes Dovalina! 🥕

A huge thank you to BookBreak for treating Mrs. Perez's 2nd graders and Mrs. Pichardo's 1st graders to an awesome virtual chat with author Aaron Reynolds!

Our Wildcats went absolutely wild for a virtual author visit with Aaron Reynolds, the brilliant mind behind Creepy Carrots! Our students learned so many cool facts about him and how he gets his spooky-silly book ideas.

He was so entertaining—reading a bit from his brand new book and encouraging all of our Wildcats to keep up the reading and writing. We were spotlighted as a participating school, and now the students are begging for more! What's next for our bookworms?

Dovalina Wildcats in Pre-K through 2nd grade attended a presentation by the Laredo Fire Department in celebration of Fire Prevention Week.

Our students learned about fire safety, the fire engine, and practiced how to escape from a building.

Thank you to Firefighter Luis Diaz and Fire Station No.4 for helping our students be prepared in the event of a fire.
